Lessons
Here are a a few things that I have been reflecting on for the last few days. I hope they help you in your journey.
1) Make the most out of every situation. Listen, I am not one of those people that believes everything happens for a reason. There is way too much crappy things that occur to even try to make that argument. That being said so many of us let our own situations determine our happiness. We think that because things are not going our way, we can be upset or not be happy. This is complete BS. I know because this person was me. I was upset, angry and just miserable because of the situation I was in. Surprisingly being crabby about it did not help.
2) Gratitude: I know this is being talked about a lot but gratitude is a big factor in your success, no matter how you define it. Without gratitude you can have everything but you really have nothing because you do not appreciate it. If you want to get more in life, appreciate what you already have.
3) Make time for what you want and stop making excuses...seriously I need to read this one constantly. As someone who has a lot of dreams and ideas of what I want to do with my life, I do not act on it as much as I should. I come up with excuses and then get frustrated because I do not make the progress that I want. Stop waiting for huge chunks in your schedule to make your dream a reality and focus on the small moments you can manage. Give up the stuff that no longer helps you.
4) Stop spending time with people that drain you. I know this as well is a topic that is talked about a lot but it is so hard to do, for me at least. It felt like I was betraying people and I was being evil. In reality I am not. Just because you decide to not spend time with people that drain you does not mean you have to hate them. It just means you value your time.
As always still learning and growing and figuring it all out.
